Be ye reconciled to God.

Berlin is a diverse and influential city with a deeply-rooted spiritual history, and is currently a place in which less than 2% of people are committed followers of Jesus.

We saw the above German text as we entered a church in the heart of Berlin, with a statue of Jesus' outstretched arms. This is the heart of God. God yearns for this city to be reconciled to Himself! We desire to see those from 190 people groups in Berlin encounter and experience the kindness and hope of God, follow and obey our loving Savior, and invite others into reconciled, obedient relationship with Christ.

We go recognizing that Jesus has gone before us. We go knowing that the Father is drawing people to Himself even now. We go with the understanding that He desires that none should perish. We go because, "How, then, can they call on the One they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the One of Whom they have not heard? And how can they hear unless someone tells them?" Romans 10:14.

We moved to Berlin mid-2019 to join the Novo Berlin team, whose mission is to see the transformation of the spiritual landscape of Europe through catalyzing Disciple-Making Movements among all 190 people groups living in Berlin. As we see people coming to know Jesus who are then going and making disciples who then go make disciples, we could see the spiritual landscape change in communities and people groups, in the city of Berlin as a whole, in other cities throughout Germany, in other countries in Europe and in countries around the world! May it be so, Lord Jesus!
